Why does the acrylic sheet render incorrectly in the simulation?

When simulating a transparent acrylic sheet, we see unexpected artifacts and incorrect light refraction, especially at edges.

Steps to reproduce:

Load the test scene with an acrylic sheet.

Apply default acrylic material.

Run the simulation.

Expected: Correct refraction and no visible artifacts. Actual: Edge flickering and unnatural light bending.

This only happens at certain angles; other transparent materials work fine. Configuration files can be shared if needed.
